Prizm Content Connect services are a critical part of document viewing. As discussed in the section Product Architecture Overview, Prizm Content Connect services are part of Prizm Content Connect, which is a standalone product that is installed separate from the PCC for SharePoint Integration.

Prizm Content Connect services are used by the web tier to convert documents to the SWF format, which can be rendered by the Prizm flash viewer.
